I recently witnessed what appeared to be flat-spotting effects with RR but, can not confirm 100% as my nephew was playing at the time but, the wheel visibly shook after spinning out of control. However, his car also made contact with other cars so I’d have to do more testing to determine if it was due to suspension damage, bent wheel, etc.
Overall, I’m very happy with the recent updates and resulting FFB with the title (SC1). We should note that S3 recommends creating a new controller profile (as well as the car-setups) made from the new SimuCube preset as some FFB and physics have changed.
The physics and FFB developers have been using both the AccuForce and other DD-wheels to develop new presets for DD wheels. In the past, I’ve used an older version of the AccuForce preset (RR) to make my SimuCube profile with good results. Things have only gotten better with the recent updates but, we should all be starting with a fresh SimuCube preset when making our new controller profile.
RR-FFB has always been dependent on striking a proper balance between the vertical and lateral force settings and while that is still the case, it’s actually easier now because the new profile seems to work well at the default settings. The Steering-rack effects also don’t have the negative effects that they had before so they have clearly solved that issue. I can also now feel more surface detail than before that supports my motion system, so all feels more in sync.
I tried yours as well, wheel was light so might be different car multiplier or simple different preference.
Some aspect was better, so I have now changed (and updated my post) my settings a little bit.
I did not change Simucube setting, might be why I had some oscillation issues with your file first.
But I think R3E have provided good parameter settings, at least for the updated cars to please lots of different preference.Tried some non updated cars, there the FFB was to ok, but damping might be to light, but then you could maybe add that to the specific profile in SC software (use to that, still using separate profiles for rF2…).
But still think the static force & flat spot might not be working correct.
Very good settings but steering range should be always on max in every sim in my opinion. Here max is 1200… you have only 486. Ingame Speed Senitive Steering 0, Min Steering Speed 0, Max Steering Speed 0…
Car DOR do not seem to work correct, I and other have noticed this.
Flat spots seems to work now, but with Sine only, not Square.
Rumble effect on certain tracks, need to use factor 0.25% by editing file manually if using sawtooth,
or the effect is way to strong.
Stationary friction works, but use 5% setting or get wheel oscillation in pitbox (can not lift hand off wheel).
This could of course be dependent of my other setting (except for the DOR not working correct).
Good morning all
I have a little problem with raceroom and simucube, when I put the sine effect in the effects managed by the game, I have a lot of vibrations, like if I drive on a road with gravel, as soon as I put it at 0, no more worries,
the faster I drive, the less vibrations I have,
I already uninstall raceroom and reinstall, nothing to change, I still have this problem on the sine parameter
my material, simucube osw kit sincos CM 110 case
Mige 130ST-M10010, biss-c
firmware 0.50.4
IONI 10710
I only have this problem with raceroom
thank you for your help, and sorry I’m french and I use google translation
