Steering Wheels of the SC2 Community

There’s a new Cube Formula Pro with paddles, that has some nice innovations.

They are using pure Bluetooth for wireless, so it’ll work on any wheel base - which should help resale value.

And they also have a USB connector with a magnet for those that don’t want to use wireless.

Their current pro wheels are quite a bit cheaper than the ascher F64, with a little luck then new ones will be as well.

The v2 F64 has been out of stock everywhere - I’ve looked for months. With the v3 announced, I don’t think they’ll make another batch of v2’s at this point, so I don’t expect to see them at lower prices (unless used ones)

Which Cube is that, I only see Simucube compatible wireless without clutches?

Here’s a shot of the magnetic USB connector:

I believe it’s confirmed it can use bluetooth or USB (Same wheel)

Must be fresh from SimExpo as it’s not on their web site yet.
Magnetic connection for USB is ingenious, why nobody came up with that idea before leaving us to deal with ripped out of socket flipping around usb cable in case of unexpected wheel spin.

Found some video on it

Nice Find @Andrew_WOT - I haven’t seen that video yet!

Lol, sounds dramatic but won’t happen if the USB is near the wheel. And a lot of wheels use active USB ports which you place wherever you want. I know you have much more experience. Is it possible a wheel goes crazy because of loosing connection (wireless)?

I had the problem once coming from iRacing itself. My car got stuck in the wall and the wheel started spinning.
Most of the cases will be related to a stuck signal from the sim I guess.

Hi! are you happy with it so far?

Hi John, simagic GT4 looks like the wheel I need for my SC2 pro. Was it easy to connect an SC quick release to the wheel? Are you fully happy with it?

I sometimes have a loss of wireless TV signal. As I understand you this is no issue here. Only a major crash in game will make trouble. I won’t imagine going through some crashes I had in rally with 100% feedback set for crash… would be a traumatic

Yes I’m still very happy with it, I think its hard to beat at its price point. My only niggle is the slight shaft play in the 2 centre encoders, not really evident in game use though. See here at 8m 5s - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGxEcm5fiME

I just bolted the simucube QR straight onto the included spacer because I needed the extra reach, however the holes do line up so I imagine you could remove the faceplate and bolt the QR on directly.

Still getting used to it tbh. So far it looks, feels and handles just as expected. A top notch product for a fair price. Lots of modifications possible, Jakub offers a first class service to his customers.

Are you referring to Jacober simracing? This dude is amazing! For me it’s an artist (if we talk about the same guy)

Hmm…maybe somebody else… I’m referring to Jakub from Rosso Sim Racing. For example Chris Haye reviewed the wheel here: https://youtu.be/CAFMVp28Fwk

Ok, I thought is this dude
