SimuCUBE firmware 0.11 series bug reports

what should I be looking for in that?

Hmm, just paste it and I will have a look.

Its telling me it has too many to post it.

Use pastebin.com or similar, or email me at mika dot takala (a) granitedevices dot com

Did that work on paste bin? Sorry I never used that before. If it helps any even trying to the debug it was like there was a lag between me and what was happening in simucube. The first click didn’t do anything.

You will have to give a link that pastebin.com gives after you paste stuff there.

A slight delay is expected, as it downloads the log before showing the dialog window.

https://pastebin.com/login I hope that’s what you wanted. Do you have to sign up or does it still work as a guest?
Never mind I tried the link it wasn’t right.

Sorry Mika that was the only way I could get it to work.

That does not give me much to work with.

Does anyone else have similar issue with 0.11.1?

Is that what you were looking for? Sorry pastebin locked me out saying my password was different which it wasn’t and I don’t have email on my gaming pc. Is there a way I can save the debug to a usb so I can email them on my laptop in the future?

I don’t know if this will help but if you watch the screen that shows the wheel its almost like the wheel has to be moved to wake up then once its moved its ok until you let it sit for a second and the process starts all over. It seems to all be tied together with whatever is causing the issues. I don’t have it in front of me but didn’t something get changed with the usb rate in this patch? Is that causing the issue here possibly?

Interesting, no testers reported anything like that happening, but it could be related to that change. I will send you a new version to test tomorrow evening.

ctrl-a, open notepad, ctrl-v, save file to usb stick

The lines you sent here, do not include the log from the beginning, but there is indeed a cycle that can be seen.

with 0.11.1 The cpu usage is “very high” again i notice the wheel animation is more fluid now but the cpu usage while the app is open is 15-20% which is a lot on a intel cpu @ 4.6 ghz fixed clock on all 6 cores.

so if you in a game and you leave this simucube app standing open it eats away 15-20% of your cpu

also when you move the wheel left and right there are freezes in the animation real short but noticeable

(it doesnt show up as cpu usage for the app. so i geuss its kernell times.)
but its 100% sure linken to the simucube app

game idle alt tabbed out and minimized window so it uses almost no cpu
than i open simucube app the whole middle section of the graph, and you see much higher cpu usage. i close app at the and of the graph and you see cpu usage go down a lot again.

this go’s the same for if you have a game running with active ffb or no game at all.

this is ok a 6core 8600k so 15% cpu usage is like almost 70% cpu usage on one core.

idle windows not moving wheel app closed

idle windows not moving wheel app opened + 10% cpu usage

update: it might not be too bad in the end,its only if you leave ur simucube on your overview tab
if you leave it on profiles while gaming. the cpu usage doesn’t go up.
so you could make it a design choise to have more fluid animation which looks nicer! but there are still freezes in it if you turn the wheel dough.
