Thanks for pointing that out. They do indeed look like standalone, pre-made extensions to me.
According to the Meanwell specsheet, the cable from the power brick to the servo is 1 meter long which doesn’t give you a great deal of choice on where you can place the bricks.
I’m going to have to search for some good quality extensions like the ones shown in that video.
That’s barely long enough to touch the ground! Was hoping to zip the to the side of my rig or under the pedals with some cable routing but doesn’t sound long enough.
Actually, think it should be ok. If you have an 80/20 rig you should be able to ziptie the PSU to the uprights. Would be nicer to hide then under the pedals. If anyone know where to source extension cables it might be worth a look.
I have a big request for everyone. I used on my Simucube Pro an extension of Simlab which is 200 mm long. I have the problem that when I press the extension up and down I feel a slight play in the engine. To the right and left I don’t have this game. My question to all those who also use an extension is whether this is normal? I already used this extension on Mige and this game didn’t exist. I am in contact with Tomo but I would like to know if someone else has this problem as well. It’s not much but clearly noticeable and audible. Too much for a premium product. I would be very happy about help. I would love to drive so much
The servo motor bearings in these industrial servo motors are not really meant for shaft extensions without a separate load carrying bearing, so only short extensions are recommended.
I wonder why the game is just up and down in the direction and not right and left? Quality or not here is something not good. I hope that I get another answer from Tomo and then I have to send it back. That does not make sense.
