Simucube 2 Discussion Thread

Guys, seriously. I’ve been waiting for 2nd batch delivery since the end of May.
I’m thinking about getting in touch with everyone in my same position to cooperate and submit a lawsuit for misleading advertising.
I’m not joking. This shit is serious.

This does not become a joke, but already is. To be honest, if it weren’t for the bought wheels from asher racing, I would have long ago canceled the order for sc2pro

Me too mate, paid on 16th of May because at the time 2nd batch was scheduled to delivery around end of June/ first days of July. No way I would have bought it knowing that I would have waited untill end of August / first days of September.

Just to be clear : I’m not blaming ANY of the people that runs this forum, nor anybody that is part of the project and intervene here to give us assistance, which is by far the best kind of assistance and attention any customer could ever hope for.
I’m blaming the marketing / sales division of GD / Simucube for the lack of communication and transparency about this whole preorders ordeal.
This is not the way to deal with customers, and even more not a respectful approach to them.
1 update every month on the “News” section of the website, update that contains a completely misleading and deceiving information, it’s not what people that paid 1.3k on average and it’s waiting for a product that has already seen 3 delays in such a short time without any kind of communication, is expecting from them.
it is not possible that we should become aware of any delays and postponements by reading a post published by some users by pure chance, and not because there is a transparent communication by the team in charge of doing so. And that’s the second time that it happens this way.
That’s not fair guys, not at all.

Hi,

Products to almost all non EU distributors were shipped out today, and the products to EU distributors should be shipped out by Wednesday. There was an additional delay due to 2 separate reasons, but those are now solved. Apologies for the additional delay.

The production batches for end of August and during September are a bit over 3 times in volume compared to batch 1 and 2 combined and the volumes are planned equally large for October and even larger for November. As I shortly mentioned previously in this thread, the demand is in many multiples compared to SC1 generation products and some delays have caused amplification in total delay, one biggest being the summer holidays in Europe.

I know that the above information does not help the ones who have waited the longest, but eventough nothing has seemed to happen, we have still worked a lot which is soon visible to our distributors and later to the end-users.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi there, recently I have installed a motion with using simtools.
But I found True Drive 1.03 / 1.07 and simtools are crashed each other, they cannot operate at the same time, is there any way to solve it ?

thank you guys.

After 15yrs, I’m getting back in to Sim Racing, and finishing my Sim Rig. I was ready to buy a Bodnar system, but decided to wait 2 months for news about the SC2 units and to learn about delivery. I finally got tired of waiting for them to actually be in stock, and decided to order a Fanatec Clubsport which was delivered 2wks ago.

I’ll probably buy a SC2 Pro or Ultimate, but not until I can go online, order one, and have it in my hands in 2wks or less! I will not pay full price for ANYTHING, if that’s what SC2 pre-orders require, and have to wait 3 or 4 months for delivery. I custom ordered a 2019 Mustang GT and rec’d delivery less than 3months later, with only 3% down!

In mean time, I’ll use the Clubsport and maybe 6 or 12months from now (whatever it takes) I’ll probably order an SC2 that’s in stock. Not preaching to anyone, and I feel for those who were willing to preorder and are having to wait months for delivery. I understand Granite may be a relatively small company, facing unexpected demand, but they should understand there are others like me, I’m sure, who can afford to buy, but are unwilling to preorder and have to wait months for delivery, based on principle.

I made the mistake to sell my OSW in may, when 2nd batch was scheduled for delivery on late june.
As today, it’s 3 months I am waiting WITHOUT a wheel. You did good buying a csw in the meantime, I thought about doing the exact same thing for a long time, but instead I always trusted the delivery timings of GD.
Now it seems that next week, or at last in two weeks, I will finally receive the Sc2 I ordered 3 months ago…

Hi Beano,

Any chance you’ll be uploading that comparison video anytime soon? :innocent:

I have my pro pre-ordered through Augury (last one of the second batch, or so I’m told) and I need something to keep me occupied during the agonizing waiting period.

Really appreciate all the info and experiences you’re sharing with the community!

Hi,

Have you solved problem with Simtools and TD? i’m ordering stuff for SFX and choosing between Arduino and Thanos controllers.

This is interesting indeed. Does it happen even if you try to start those softwares when the devices are powered down?

Hey Jossel when did you order yours from Augury? I ordered on May 29th.

Hi Mate,
Yes, plans are to do so over the next few days. Plans were to do it on Sunday, but I almost forgot it was my Wife’s birthday.

But I will do one and upload latest thus weekend. Have to do it then, as next week I am travelling again.

Cheers,
Beano
