Well finely after reading this thread and using houers on tuning i finely good enough ffb i RF2.
Its still rly dependet on what car you driving.
But i changed “Off-road multiplier”:0.03,
Rev3 file.
It felt much better after changing to 1440 altho it took abit failing to get the wheel ingame to syncro with sc2.
Still experimenting with TD settings.
I would like to thank every ones input. Cuse this is my fav sim! But idk maby should start a new thread, Its getting long and alot to go trough to find good settings (Formated my pc so had to start all over again)
Nah all good now<3
I found the breaking virbration way to overkill. So i changed
“Brake effects strength”:-1,
“Brake spring coefficient”:0.03,
“Brake spring saturation”:0.4,
tbh i dont know wich one did the trick cuse i changed em at the same time. but the breaking and anti lock virbration isent so intense now. But can still feel it. I might even turn it down more.
Well i turned off the breaking strength to 0. I can feel if overbreaking much more clearly now without shaking the floores.
But there is one thing. I would like to have abit more centering force. Not much but its feeling abit dull on the straights. I feel this isent a True drive setting, but lack from Sim. So i can imagen maby its something from Controlller file, But not sure wich one that dose that. Any ideas?
Underbreaking and cornering i feel its just right.
I sett true drive to 9 nm and ingame to 100% and that gave more ffb to my liking also.
Or maby anyone know a text guide/overview over Controller ffb settings explenation? So i maby understand and come even closer to what i want.
In rF2 FFB, you can try adding a tiny bit of Min. Force. It’s generally used on mainstream steering systems but, it can be useful for boosting feel around center too.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, THE JSON FILE:
just copy these lines from rf2.txt into your json controller profile. STEAM\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\Controller\yourprofile.json
hi all, so I am having some issues with rf2 at the moment.
I recently changed my PC and therefore I needed to reinstall all sims from scratch.
with rF2, I downloaded the sc2 sport preset v3 and put it into the controller list, assigned inputs and everything was fine for the first time I played it.
problem is, today I restarted rF2 but now everything is a mess : physical rotation of the wheel and the ingame rotation doesn’t match anymore, and the general feeling is very much different than two days ago when I first played it.
I checked the control.json file and the Simucube2Sport profile and they had 2 different wheel rotation values, not the maximum 1440, but the one that is supposed to represent the one of the last car you drove, and I think that is the main cause of my problem.
how can I recover the right synch between the control.json file and the sc2 preset I use?
am I missing some steps?
any help would be much appreciated. thanks
Buon giorno SuperMonaco_GP! Did you save (export) your controller settings using a unique name? Just in case you are not aware, the file named “controller.json” is not the file you edit if you want to have consistent and proper controller behavior in rF2.
The file you want to edit is the one that you assign the unique name (export). Then you always have a baseline controller profile to restore should you have issues. Still, I’ve had issues where things changed in the USB-device order and had to re-assign my control axis and buttons. Perhaps this may help you, I hope so.
thanks!
so if I now would like to restart from scratch, say as I run the sim for the first time, how can I do? is it enough to delete control-json, delete the sc2 sport preset and run steam file check?
I would gladly spare me to download again the 50gb
Hi guys. I Have some issues with the simucube 2 sport on rfactor 2. I have a really strange feeling when I’m driving it. It’s like when I turn smoothly it’s like the wheel
Give me a kick and it’s putting me into the wall. It’s really undrivabel like that. And I can’t figuret it out how to fix the issue. I really can’t drive like that. Even the wheel steering rate. I really can’t like align it properly in the game. Don’t know if you can help me. Thx
