List of racing simulators and games

Hi,

For future PC software development project, we need to compile a list of titles people might be driving.

This is not a compatibility list of any sort.

Have I forgotten a game you drive? Add it in comments.

Also, this is a Wiki post now, anyone can edit.

Thanks. I’ve made the post a wiki post now, everyone should be able to edit.

One could also get a list from wikipedia, but the problem is that we want to limit to most popular titles from last 15 years or so. I think some early Dirt titles and Gravel are on the limit of being popular enough.

don’t know what you are up to Mika but I sense this is gonna be very interesting

Forza Motorsports 7 and this fall 8

Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5

Yeah Forza Motorsport 7 and Horizon 3 and 4.
They don’t work out of the box, need EmuWheel, but FFB was decent when I tried it last time, esp FM7.

Any chance for FM8 get native SC2 support, T10 studio seems to work out support for Accuforce?

That would be awesome, fun let your hair down game for LAN racing with friends

Off topic, anyone know how to get aftermarket pedals t work with MS7 ?

Ever since I put on my Sim Worx pedals the brake is always on ?

Thought at first it was a dead zone issue like I had with the Fanatec pedals but it is not

Using DI view to adjust dead zone out of them

Test Drive Unlimited, the first, its better than the sequel, better physics overall and wheel support but SC2 is seen like a gamepad so has deadzones

Add Geoff Crammond Grand Prix 4, just for the AI battles

someone older than me could answer this, which was the 1st pc game / sim with actual direct input based force feedback?

IIRC Microsoft Midtown Madness or 4x4 Madness

Talking about racing sims, albeit flight sims were first ffb games

I wish there was a solution for NFS Heat

New Forza Motorsport revealed

@Mika, any chance to engage with T10 on adding SC2 support.
I bet Fanatec is already doing this for Podium.

Being a Microsoft-affiliated studio, they are probably adding support for Xinput devices only, and for Xbox, only the officially licensed products.

Xbox licensing is expensive, requires a security chip on the product, etc…

They have support for Accuforce in FM7. And this should be win32 game on PC, the old one was UWP.
We are not asking for XBox support.

And Forza Motorsport and Horizon titles recognize pedals and DD wheels, including OSW. But there is no force feedback. :frowning:
So emuWheel software is required to make it properly work.
May be there are some technical limitations, but considering that SC2 is commercial offering now, same as Accuforce and Fanatec Podium, may be there is a solution and they can add driver for SC2.

Need for speed heat does not work with simucube 2?

I tested 2 months ago, unfortunately it didn’t work
