iRacing and Simucube 2

What will you do if you find Josh Rogers uses completely different settings :scream:

Somone asked if the pro’s used this settings. For me its just a bonus:)

Also i was rly happy with Dan’s settings. But always fun finding something you like better

Is Josh Rogers using Simucube 2?

Yeah, I’m just telling you as an ex-Pro there’s all sorts of differing settings in use in WCS. I’d hate people to think that those kind of settings in TD are the only way to drive at the upper levels, it’s simply not true and you sacrifice a lot of the features and benefits of having a SC2.

However if the settings feel better to you than anything else than that’s really all that matters!

No the forthcoming VRS Wheel.

The way I see it with trying pro’s settings is you know for sure they are not a limiting factor. My old settings were limiting me compared to these settings. Are there better srttings out there? Perhaps, but Max proved they are good enough for winning Daytona 24h

Btw what exactly are these settings sacrificing?

By running Recon that low on iRacing you’re just getting a load of noise from the 60hz signal, to me that is nothing like I’ve felt from the steering wheel in a real car on track. So I guess you’re sacrificing a more realistic feel, this is obviously subjective.

I see you point and i do agree. Nothing have learnd me how subjective FFB is as a my sc2.
I been trying soo many setting with my cube, And i get eager when i find even better and better settings.

5 minute before i posted abut Max winning, I dident know who he was, I found his stream and he won a 24 houer race 2 min after i found him, So i got super eager and had to share

But what i like spesifik abut those setting are that it is so well balanced with resistance and not over kill shock peak nm. The resistance in the right moments makes it rly easy feeling the tires angle,

You can feel asap when u oversteer.

I find it rly hard to explane FFB

I do too. And tbh I’ve spent most of my time when tuning FFB on different DD wheels making oversteer and traction loss feeling as natural as possible, that is what is most important to me. I like some resistance but I don’t use crazy high levels of FFB.

If you get a chance or feel the urge please give these settings a try. Whilst I developed them to cope with worn tyres on Oval and the oversteer that can create they feel very natural with GT cars on iRacing too (IMO  )

I tried your setting and it felt better than mine, but too much unwanted chatter.
It did inspire me to adjust my own settings and I think I’ve now found some that work very well for me in the cup Porsche. So, thanks for that :+1::sunglasses:

So far am abit conflicted. But i need to try it inn a longer race. My first tought that this is better for GTE. I think i prefer Max settings for superv8 and skipbarber. I feel your settings focus on car weight feel. But max is rly focused on tire angle.

But i will race a fue houers today. And try Max settings again after, And see what i think.

I dont have paddlesifting yet on my wheel, i use a sequential shifter, So my ffb taste might be abit diffrent for that reason.

Simon have you tried the pro also?

Since you have the Ultimate I was just wondering how much optimal settings change between pro and ultimate?

Oh tbh I’m not sure, not tried a Pro yet.

Ok thanks for the response.

where can i find this profile? I would like to try it to get an idea.

I tried Beneckes settings with the LMP1 (Lemans) on my SC2 Pro. Only thing i did not like was the feeling when wheel i centered, it was very flabby near center (like a deadzone). Probably due to Ultimates extra setting. “Center Damping”

Dont know if I can tweak that on the Pro somehow.

Whats the reason some ffb profiles are set up with all 0% on the DirfectInput effect fine tuning?
