iRacing and Simucube 2

Change the overall strength in Truedrive software or with the slider ingame.

Hi guys,
I have a small feature request:

As a user using iRacing with a Steering range of 900 degree (in game and in TD),
I want to set the bump stop range in the Simucube 2 TrueDrive Software to any number I fancy, even 540 or 300,
So that I can avoid the iRacing bump stop jerkiness without having to create tons of profiles for all the different cars.

Currently, the bump stop setting range is limited from 700 to 1100 when using 900 steering range.
I hope you don’t judge my laziness and that it’s gonna be a quicky to implement.
Thank you very much,
Richard

We will be reducing available settings as we see not many are using them anyway. There are difficulties in having the available range for bumpstop adjustment large, as then reducing the steering range could cause all kinds of firmware-crashing errors in corner cases, which could even cause unsafe operations or wildly spinning wheel.

However, your feedback is noted.

Thanks for clarifying this, the real problem is with iRacing I guess, not offering an option to disable/disarm that bump stop implementation of theirs… Well, a man can hope, right?

I’ve been on iRacing for 9 years and on my 4th different direct drive wheel, not noticed an issue with the bump stops in all that time!

I dont think its bumpstop related, and i have pointed it somewhere earlier also but i have problems with the Audi R8 GT3 and its steering angle.
If i calibrate it normal, like every other car its almost undrivable for me,like T1 at Monza i almost certain wont make that corner because of its steering range.
Maybe its just me i dont know,i have it set too 800 degrees now in TD wich feels smoother and even had it on 700 degrees before.

Rocco: Sounds like you’re overdriving the car.

You might be going much faster in reality (watch the speed) than you’re perceiving; slow down, make sure to be hitting the apexes, stay in a proper raving-line, otherwise you may ‘feel’ that you don’t have enough range…

Yeh i dont know Beano,it doesnt feel like that,i know when i overdrive it.
I just done a race with wheel range at 800 degrees, wich feels like it turns much better, but at the other hand i was losing against the Mercs by the end of the race wich might be due too overdriving or a wrong steering range.
Ill try it at Imola again.

I set my wheel to 900deg for all cars, no issues  In iRacing, it auto-scales to what it should be for each car, so set-and-forget is the best way to do it…

Often, with racing-cars, the steering-wheel is not/should not be the only way to turn or assist with turn…the Mustang at Philip Island T1 and T2 perfect examples…

Yes i did re-calibrate it and set it too 900 in TD also and drove some laps at Imola and it felt good,so you are right.
All other cars in iracing i also calibrate like this, only this felt a bit weird.

Hello guys! I need a little help or advice on how to improve my iracing game profile. Let’s say that with these settings I ride with the GTE (BMW M8). The only thing I would like to improve is the steering force. When I am on the straight, the steering is light enough while cornering becomes as strong as I like. However, I would like this transition between soft and hard to be as gradual as possible. Sometimes I have the feeling that between these soft - hard passages there is a passage too fast to have a small void. Thank you all!

Start with setting static force reduction too 0%.

Are minimal forces safe to use on SC2 pro on iracing?

I dont think you should use min force on DD wheels.

The other day I was testing my SC2 Sport with wheelcheck.exe and the minforcetest always gave me a result of - 0.5, with any type of ULLM or ReconFilter

If you want more force in the center, try lowering TorqueBandwidth, im at 680hz in the F3 right now

Ok cool I will try. Thanks

Hello everyone guys ! I want to share with you my settings for the Ford GTE. Im use Simucube 2 Sport. Feels like everything is perfect, maybe I will help someone =) On these settings, it’s comfortable to drive for two hours, the time which turned out to be 0.2-0.3 worse than the PRT time. Also if someone have settings for F3 for barcelona it would be great !
For atlanta im use 55-58 nm, Imola 52-54nm.
