Steering Wheels of the SC2 Community

Awesome work, which screen did you end up using?

Screen I use a Nextion 4.3"

I’ve got two rims. One for rally & classic cars (Momo Drift)… and another for modern formula, GT, prototype stuff (Cube Controls Sparco GT Wireless). The rally rim’s complete lack of buttons is compensated for with the custom button box I just built. I try to map as many controls as possible to the button box, so when I hotswap rims, I don’t need to re-adjust anything. Basically: switching to the Sparco wheel simply adds more buttons needed by the cars that use this rim.

Hey Adam, how do you find the shifter pull travel range for your size hands? Any contact made between the shifter lever and the backs of your fingers when shifting!? I ask because the AR shifter option looks to be further distanced from the wheel rim in pictures which makes me think it’s not too narrow of a gap while simultaneously shifting with pointer finger and gripping the rim with the rest of your hand. Trying to decide between the sport model or pro. Thanks in advance

Just made the jump to SC2 pro and converted this wheel (only one for now) so will probably provide more feedback after more mileage but for now I thought to share.

Bit of a random question, but where did you get the spacer/extention from your base to the wheel?
Also, how long is it? (I’ve been looking around online and the longest I can find is around 120mm and that looks a lot longer)

this is from Simlab. But i see they never sold that. 200 mm

Just started mine, but waiting for alot of parts which are a bit delayed this is at 285mm wheel at 5mm thickness using a bodnar board behind spacer, cts 288 rotaries, ascher aluminium spacer, ascher paddler shifters. will be wrapping handles in suede , which are 100% infill

going to add 2 more rotaries it think, just trying to find knobs i like

unsure if i should order a vinyl skin to be cut from the dxf file yet

have another plate coming in 310 too which is a different design .

Hello everyone! I’m trying to maintain on a French forum the list of the wireless steering wheels for the SimuCube 2. If it can help some people to get a quick overview of this kind of steering wheels, here’s the link : https://www.racingfr.net/wbb/index.php?thread/4793-com-simucube-2-les-volants-compatibles-sans-fil/

And don’t hesitate to tell me if you know of any wireless steering wheel manufacturers that are not on this list

Thanks for that, but I was actually asking about the extension hub they have like this:

https://sim-lab.eu/shop/product/steering-wheel-extension-piece-v2-billet-aluminium-120-mm-length-671#attr=

But theirs looks a lot longer than 120mm. Sounds like simlab used to make a 200mm one that they don’t offer anymore.

My bad.
This is actually only the sim racing machines fanatec conversion kit + SQR

Had to go with the (probably) obligatory thrustmaster osw conversion since the wheel was bought years ago and i thought to use it instead of selling it since its size 300 mm makes it a good all around until investing in a higher quality wheel. Also the 270 mm fanatec was hard to use with many cars.

  • Thrustmaster adapter OSW (SimRacingCoach) + shipping 144 euros
  • Simcube 2 SQR V2 (SimRacingBay)+ Shipping 91 euros.
