I will probably remount my Bogeyman today, turn a few laps before my travel to Finland later this week. I have to say, I quite miss the natural inertia of the big servo, hopefully the new FW will spice it up again compared to the SC2 Ult, but probably not, the SC2 is substantially ahead wrt processing-power.
Yes Argon was current limited, but us rational humans who do not need a 70nm wheel had plenty of amperage!
Comparing the 2 drives running MMOS, I think the Argon was a bit smoother. Of course everything changed with the introduction of the Simucube.
Yes please stay off the Ice, you might cause a Tidal wave.
Ha, yes, some servos needed the extra amps, lols. Or maybe I did
MMoS was probably a bit better tuned for Argon, as that was what Michael M coded for at the time, so it wasnât optimised for the Ioni. But anyway, Simucube FW opened many doors to better filtering and encoder support, unfortunately MMoS only supported incremental encoders.
With that said though, it was a very good FW, very advanced for its time for what it was. Michael was a very gifted coder, if it wasnât for him, and Bernhard Berger, we would be a fair ways behind where we are today.
Happy days.
All rumblings aside, I just refitted Bogeyman for upcoming FW tests Itâs ready, once Mika shares an early beta version with me, I will give it a good test.
Yes that is definitely true. Those guys started this Madness!
I wish Michael M would have continued developing MMOS. I am sure he had his reasons not though.
hmmâŚ
Well, January was not great for me as I was seriously ill the whole month. Then we also had some other industrial projects and deadines. What are you expecting me or us as a company to comment to your message?
You just did so I guess he got his answer?
Breathe Grasshopper
I have not so fond memories of this January⌠which explains why I might have some feelings that I maybe should not write about here.
Mika, any time we suffer an illness, we are reminded of how our priorities are altered in a big way. No one should blame you for taking the time you need to get well, and that - of course, includes yourself.
There are many of us watching the progress with anticipation but, most of us are patiently waiting and we understand that you (both - personally and as a team) have other projects and priorities - especially when our personal well-being is compromised in some way.
Thank you for the updates you share with us.
Mika,
Take care of yourself. we need your skills so much.
Work at your own pace, we are patient and we will wait until it is ready.
Remember : these are only video games.
Nothing very important ultimately.
Health is 100,000 times more important
Your health and wellbeing must be the priority, Mika.
We are all eager for the next big update and improvement but not at your own personal cost.
Take your time to ease back into your work and the updates will come when you are feeling up to it
Yes I know that you were ill Mika. I am glad you are getting better.
My comment was meant for you to relax.
You made a comment about not making a comment. So it is clear that you are a little upset.
Wheel is turning, FFB is working, but lots of indexing mode stuff yet to do.
Very cool, THANKS!!!
We didnât seem to have any commonly used motors with encoder that would output index point signal at the office. However, there was this:
Finally a motor that I can overpower.
Lols Mika, that a 60mm servo?
That is overkill. This one is 40mm.
Haha, believe it or not, I have a nice small 40mm Mige here too, was testing it ages ago on replacing a motor in a belt-drive wheel.
They are nice little servos, luv them
Beano you in Finland yet?
