True Drive enables the save button whenever there are any changed settings on the device, and that includes the profile parameters. Clicking the button saves the settings to permanent memory. Equally you can just click “Set as Default” button in Paddock, when you view all profile settings.
Hello everyone, I have a problem with the installation/unpacking of True Drive 2022.2 for men SC2 pro. The PC reports that it is a malware/infected file. If I deactivate the virus protection, I can unpack it, but an error occurs again during installation, see picture. Can someone help me. Thanks
Seems like the “helpful action” is from Avast and I assume it’s a free version!?! Just deinstall this software. If you have TD directly from Granite you can be be sure it’s not infected.
Sometimes Windows shows a hint like: “this kind of software potentially can harm your computer and are you sure you want to execute?” but not with TD!! The statement of TD is infected with malware is a joke (still based on the assumption you have it from an official source).
I don’t remember if you have to unpack it. If so, unpack, make sure it’s genuine and run it as administrator after you deactivated this Avast
It’s a false positive. Personally I’d remove any anti virus software as you already have Windows defender
ok still try it. yes it is freeware and If I deactivate it, I can unpack it, but I can’t install it because the error message above comes up. So i uninstall an try it again.
After un-installing the Anti-virus software, always reboot the system. It may help to use a registry cleaner to remove any remnants of the AV software, then reboot again before re-installing TrueDrive.
Thanks for that support. After uninstallig AV i had no problems with the TD software. Many thanks.
I did in fact put the latest installer through virustotal.com and it didn’t give any positives from any of the engines there. I have the worst experiences ever with Avast, it used to be good ten years ago but then it went to **it.
Good it’s working now! Enjoy!
Hi guys,
I don’t know if this is discussed already in this thread, but my wireless wheel (Ascher F28-SC) won’t connect in TrueDrive since the 2021.11 update (SC Pro). I tried all of them but the only one that works is the 2021.9 version.
Maybe something to mention: in the new releases, when I click on the ‘wireless wheel tab’ everything is greyed out and I can’t select any options whatsoever.
I am on the latest software and I have an F28, and it connects and works flawlessly.
So it’s possibly not a TD issue.
Known issue and we have worked on it. Can you try 2021.12 and 2022.2 releases as well?
Updated to 2022.2 last week. Drove for a few hours and everything works as expect. I have no wireless wheels or pedals connected to the base, so I can’t test all features.
I tried all new releases but none of them work. I could try and put a new battery in to be sure it’s not power related but with the 2021.9 version I have no issues at all, no delays or buttons/paddles not working.
Thanks for the report, it is indeed a wheel base software issue. Now we have exactly two people who will likely be interested in a test release for this, as we’ve just made some refactoring in the code that might have revealed the root cause. I’ll add you to the PM thread about this.
Okay thanks, I’ll be glad to help and test in order to get this fixed.
I wonder why one person with the exact same wireless wheel has issues, and yet the other doesn’t. You would think both would have issues.
My F28 has never lost connection once.
However, I’m still having the issue where I start iRacing and there’s no FFB, and with iRacing loaded, I have to restart my wheel base, and click the emergency stop button in and out once for FFB to engage.
I’ve had this issue for the last 4/5 releases, but I think you’re already aware of this issue.
It is to do with how the Simucube firmware (with most of it rewritten for 2021.11 and later) communicates with the wireless wheel receiver module on the Simucube 2 wheel base. Nothing to do with the wheel.
Okay, makes sense.
Are you still aware of this issue? Any plans on a fix in upcoming updates?
