I look forward to clicking these boxes!
I donât understand the version number rant. If a version of SC2 software package enforces to use specific versions of FW and SW components, there is absolutely no value of communicating the internal version numbers of individual components to end-users. If you cannot update them independently, knowing that your SC2 system is running SW package version X is equivalent to knowing that your system is running component versions A, B, C.
This is a kind of change GD should just go ahead with and not spend time & energy getting approval from the forums.
Agree. It is a mess on the big german manufacturer units, they have many different versions. Motor firmware, base firmware, wheel firmware and drivers. and now users are mixing different versions that will couse problems
Less is more and one package should cover it all.
Noticed that 2020.2 is in the pipe. Looks very nice

Question RE 2020.2.
With the automatic high torque / no beeps mode will this revert to low torque with beeps if the software is closed ?
Ideally i would like to fire up the software, select my profile for the day and close the software.
It wonât revert, or at least the version in development does not. The feature is not finished yet.
First test of the automatic high torque mode functionality without standby beeps has been successful. Development continues still.
Great new keep up the good work.
Whenever you need testers Iâm in =D
Any idea if in the end weâll have to first power on the wheel, or first start the software? Or it wonât matter?
It wonât matter, the True Drive will be the one that makes the special command to do it whenever it first sees the Simucube 2.
The âStand by modeâ seems buggy for me. I need everytime to close the TD tab, then reopen and I can click en Re-enable. This is the only thing to do, to fix that.
Otherwise, as far as that goes, everything is fine
Thanks for reporting, will be fixed soon
just finished the tray icon functionality, seems to be somewhat working.
Usually applications have a selection whether to minimize or close to tray or something, but Iâm thinking we will close to tray at least for now, if user has launched the app with the tray icon parameter via shortcut.
Also âAutostart with Windowsâ option?
you can do that if you place a suitable shortcut somewhere. Most likely we will not put that straight into software, not at least right away.
Hello,
You can schedule a task that automatically start an executable via ( schedule manager ). Just wait for the new TD release that include the command for tray icon.
To start the application with windows it is easier using a shortcut in the windows startup folder.
-
Create the shortcut and assign the parameter to start TD as a try icon.
-
Open the startup folder pressing the âWin + Râ keys together on your keyboard to open the Run dialog and type âshell:common startupâ in the run box and hit enter.
-
A file explorer will open in the startup folder, copy the shorcut there. It will ask us for administrator permissions.
Use a fixed folder to copy the version of the TD we are using, so we donât have to make changes in the shortcut every time we update the version.
Thanx, but is it hard to implement it in the TD. Like NZXT CAM app for example.
My guess is that this will create some unnecessary support topics due to the upcoming âautomatic High Torque Modeâ mode.
Hi Mika and team - When I run truedrive software I have to re-adjust the windows sizing everytime i.e. it starts up as very small window so i have to expand it out. Generally other apps remember the sizing so when I launch them they start how they were last time I adjusted them and closed them.
Secondly the selection buttons are really small and I can hardly read the text in them (see attached)
âWhen I run truedrive software I have to re-adjust the windows sizingâ
Itâs a small inconvenience but annoying having to resize the TD window every time the programme is opened. It would be a nice touch if TD always opened with a window size large enough to show all of the settings with no scrolling required.
@Manav, are those very small boxes a result of the latest update? They look tiny!
@EsxPaul Nope this happened in the last version as well. I think if truedrive had an installer and app settings could be adjusted based on resolution it would be bit more user friendly.
