I donāt have a wireless wheel so how can that work with usb wheels?
It will not work for USB wheels.
Not sure if this is the right thread for feature requests - redirect as required.
Given users have either button boxes or keyboards I think the ability to assign keys / buttons to a +/- function for each of the filters in True Drive which are captured and applied when running in the background would be a great addition (start with keys, we can always use joy2key to map to our own setup as required).
Instead of having to either run a separate screen or pause and ALT-TAB the ability to, for example, fine tune Damping or Inertia (or even Overall strength) to suit a given car while driving by just cycle a button a few times to change the percentage up or down would help with configuration.
This would take away the black art of trying to get a setup that the user likes and suits the car. I see this as both the strength and weakness of the current setup, there are countless posts with people sharing what works for them, ultimately it is a end user āfeelā that needs to be achieved, what is good for one person may not fully expose the greatness of the drive to another. The ability to tune in realtime and take the setup phase from hours/minutes to seconds is appealing.
Keep up the great work - best sim racing purchase, ever.
Like the idea to have some keyboard shortcuts for filter settings but its quite difficult to define some because windows and games are already full of it
For this, is elgato, and issue solve.
With regard to radical cut backs to the filter options we have available to us i would say this:
While i would be ok loosing a notch filter here or there a major cutback of settings which cannot be switched back on with an advanced mode i would be quite upset and i imagine others would be.
This is a released product and fundamentally changing the philosophy of the flexibility of the product or what your target audience is after the product has launched and been bought and paid for is a bad idea and will really upset your core user base.
I would also say be careful how you interpret your data. Just because somebody doesnāt often change a setting doesnāt mean it doesnāt matter to them.
Also consider the fact that people sharing profiles and talking about their settings on your product is a good thing. It shows enthusiasm and keeps the product in the public eye of the forums.
We have chosen to move to Release-based version numbering.
The next True Drive release will be R2020.1.
