But you do plan on reducing CPU usage for not important features like visual candy? Mistakes happen and for now anyone can mitigate it by minimizing / closing True drive. But the real question is, is it planned to be fixed? Because based on some replies it seems like some find this acceptable and we will just have to live with it.
It is already mitigated if the overview tab is not the active tab and also if the application is not the active window. But we will investigate what else we can do to reduce the CPU consumption.
Great to hear!
No worries Mika. It was just a more general point for all of us to think about, myself included
Hi All! Iām somebody who always āreads the manualā before I even use a product. So I didnāt see anything in the SC2 guides that I downloaded that said that you could close TD, and continue to use the SC2 normally in gaming. Of course, itās not too difficult to figure out, but I had the impression at first, based on what I read in the SC2 guides, that the SC2 may require TD to keep running (minimized or whatever) to operate properly. Iād suggest that future guide updates include that clarification and that Granite āthink like a beginnerā since some new owners may not be familiar with current Sim hardware/software/firmware communication process, etc. Iām back into Racing Sims after a nearly 20yr hiatus. Some things that may seem obvious to most users, may not be to noobies. Thanks!
And Option āCheckbox and not default checkedā to disable auto pair function would be awesome for owner without any wireless rims.
Feedback received. However, we will not be adding checkboxes for every possible behavior, rather we want to remove existing checkboxes to make the system easier to use.
We already have Simple UI version, curious of how many users are actually using it.
Seems like majority of SC2 users (at least based on this and other online forums) want more control, not dumbed-down version which can be a step back.
At least please leave some config files for power users, if adding Advanced tab to UI is too much work.

From the last update:
I canāt find the button in the software, is it time for me to make a visit to the oculist? Tell me no!
Otherwise the new firmware goes well in my SC2Pro, I have activated telemetry.
The button becomes visible when the device goes to the Standby mode.
I wrote the message because SC2 had gone into standby and couldnāt find the button. Where is it shown? Iāll do a test today and look for the button better
Are you running TD from a shortcut? Maybe running old TrueDrive.exe
Yes, the button only exists in the latest version.
upsssā¦ can be that. Iām sure thatās it! Thank you very much. Iām canceling the visit to the oculist
Per feedback, next version of True Drive will have a toggle for enabling the mouse wheel affecting profile sliders.
I wish you add this idea for Profile management a pop-up explanation when I hover the mouse on ( steering range, Bump-stop range,ā¦etc) . The goal of idea is to give us a brife explanation of what it does and effect also a suggest setting for it.
I also did wire-frame for you to explain the ideaPop-up.pdf (323.0 KB)
This is possible but there has been insufficient time to do that as the legally mandated manual writing has taken more priority.
when simucube is in standby how is the way to wake it up?
the āre-enable torqueā button donĀ“t work for me
Wake up is done via the button in the True Drive or via cycling the e-stop.
Estop always works for me
