heyy I am wondering if you change something in the last few weeks, let me know! still using your profile
with recon filter at 4 or 3 it’s the same like before, you can upgrade
i already use recon filter V1 at 4 since 3 years. And for V2 what shall i do ?
Similar question regarding recon filter V1 vs V2: For AMS2 I was using V1 setting 1, and I was receiving a conversion message saying it was switched to V2 setting 4: Does V2 setting 4 equal the old setting 1? Or, if I wanted to keep things feeling the same, should I use setting 1 on the V2 filter as well? Thanks!
it is more or less the same as the program suggests (1 = 4). But I would (and did) test the new range, and decided to use 3 or 4 based on the car I’m driving.
I’m really enjoying V2. One of my troubles with V1 was steering instability when it was turned up far enough to get a feeling that I liked. This tendency is much reduced for me on V2 and I can run at 10 with reasonable stability. I find that with 15% damping, 5% inertia, 5% friction and no limit on slew rate or bandwidth that the traditional “grainy” feeling and noisy wheel operation is present in the bottom half of the adjustment. I typically use a setting of 5-7. Setting 10 gets a little too rubbery for my tastes and pushes the instability again.
To say that I still don’t dare to upgrade to V2.
I’m still using version 2021.9 but I’m now disconnected from paddock online, I no longer have access to profiles shared by other users.
yeah, the integrated web browser in any 2023 or earlier release is not anymore compatible with the latest web libraries we use for Paddock. We updated the libraries used in Paddock during last spring due to security updates.
Is there much difference between V2 of the 2024.5 and 2024.7.1 drivers? I would like to use 2024.5 to have both V1 and V2 available.
Would it be possible to include both in future releases?
This is not possible.
Too bad, with iRacing and 360hz active the v2 is great. By deactivating 360hz the v2 becomes extremely noisy for me.
Continuing the discussion from Reconstruction Filter V2 testing:
This is probably an unpopular opinion and always subjective, but I have spent the last 2 days iracing with 360Hz ffb comparing the reconstruction filter v1= on setting 1 and the reconstruction filter v2= on setting 4. With the recon v2 = 4 there is a certain amount of noise/grain that i can feel, especially on the straights and when holding long corners. If I set the recon v2 filter to 7, it normalises, but then feels more “rubbery” than with the recon filter v1=1. (I tested with the Porsche 992 Cup car at Sebring)
