MMos to Simucube help firmware error PLS help for the love of simracing

Please help if there is some one in South Africa that can help. That

can come to Me or do a team view.

Post also other settings from Granity so we can see if there are any obvious issues there.

Hi

I have been on this for about a week now. Feel like going back to Trustmaster:hot_face:

This is very strange.

Power off the device and then power back on.Then click “Download Debug Log” on the Advanced tab and paste it’s content here.

I hope this is right

MMOS every thing works. But i want to go to Simucube software.

Yeah, it should be possible, but it appears that there is some type of an issue where the Simucube processor can’t communicate with the IONI servo drive at all (communications fail at the very start, for some reason).

I think we have troubleshooting tips for this available, but earliest I can look them up is on Monday.

Thanks a lot for your help, will wait for Monday.

For troubleshooting, do you have a multimeter with resistance measurement available for use, and skills how to use it?

Hi yes I have one and some one that can use it.

When you extracted the Firmware to your Computer… did you allow windows to extract the files or did you manually open the .zip and pull the items within that to the desktop.

If you let windows do it erase all those old files, ReDownload and then MANUALLY extract the files by opening the .aip and dragging them to the desktop.

In the past the windows automatic extraction program corrupts the firmware files and this could be the case where the Configuration tool is trying to install and run a now corrupt file and therefore is failing.

Hi did it but still the same.

hmmm that is strange. Can you post a photo of the Advanced tab in the SimuCUBE Configuration tool but with IONI USB mode disabled so we can see if the Ini firmware version populates with the correct information. Another thing would be to make sure that the IONI is physically fully seated into the slot on the SimuCUBE board (long shot but might)

HI

I feel like throwing this thing against the wall

Hi Mika
Could you find the troubleshooting tips.

We analyzed the schematic, and it is likely that there is a hardware problem of some type.

Additional tip would be to try to install IONI firmware 1.6.0 via Granity, and then see if the Simucube manages to install anything.
