Vsd-e connectivity issues

My hardware configuration:
-(drive type) vsd-e
-(motor type/model) baldor dc
-(drive firmware version) ?

I have 3 vsd-e drives in my CNC mill and two of the drives no longer connect with the usb cable. One has the DUALDC firmware, the other has the original firmware. Im using gdtool for the regular drive and dctool for the DUALDC drive. I have also tried to connect with the gdflasher. I have two cables (they both work with the third drive) and I have also tested them with the test utility and they work. When i select connect it says “usb adapter found” and then “Unable to communicate with drive. No data received from device.” I am sure that I’m connecting to the drives per the instructions because I can connect to my third vsd-e drive. I have removed the two drives that I’m having connection issues with and have them set up on my test bench just to make sure there wasn’t any emi related issues happening. I have tried another computer. The drives otherwise function correctly. Any Ideas?

I’ll notify our engineers about this support request. The problem is that we do not have any VSD drives anymore left at our office, so training our current/new support engineers about giving support to these is a bit difficult. The people that do know something about support related matters for this product are just now unavailable, so lets see. We will do our best.

thanks- i guess i have a update- i can import settings from the drive (even though the “connect to drive” errors out)

Mika if you guys need a VSD-E drive I still have one.

I had very little experience with this drive so unfortunately I can’t help technically.
