I can totally understand you. It’s frustrating to have such a problem. And it’s even more frustrating when people like me keep on telling that everything is ok while it isn’t. I really hope this will come to a good end. And merry Christmas to you!
Old message but have you checked the QR pieces are tightened too. In the beginning I had one loose screw/bolt on the wheel side QR and the symptoms were like yours. I tried them by hand and did not notice, but the wheel rattled when driving. I had to open it again, tighten the bolts and it was fine after that.
Yes, I have checked and retightened multiple times. It also makes the sound if I disconnect my wheel and grab hold of wheel side QR. => I have removed and retightened those bolts as well with same results.
Now I’m basically waiting on the RMA process from Simucube to get going, holidays are getting in between a bit.
Since I have similar noise, can you share with us what happened with your claim? Did they found some malfunction?
I got an SC2 Pro less than a week ago. Unfortunately, this noise seems to be “normal”. After extensively tweaking the settings I found that this base will either feel “rubbery” but silent (recon 2 or more or very tight slew rate limit) or produce this sound and vibration (recon 0-1) with very little room in between these two states. At least it’s true for iRacing.
I wish they gave us more tuning options for smoothing / interpolation, because just switching recon filter on is not enough to get what I need - I am not satisfied with the “rubber” in FFB and I am not satisfied with the jittery rumbling.
Maybe try recon v2 ?
Hey
Sorry for the late reply… update on my claim:
I sent it back, they checked it and claimed it was normal, tweaked some of the settings and it feels less notchy as before…
I just started to live with it honestly as the rest of the quality of the base is easily outweighing it. Might get annoying again if I pick up another sim which might make my wheel go even louder…
