Stupid update. Argon + Simucube Firmware

I have a question regarding (product) regarding (issue).

My hardware configuration:
Augury OSW
-Argon
-Mige 130ST-M10010

Problems arise when:
As I have read before from another user, I updated Simucube firmware thinking my new OSW (2nd hand) was a Simucube 1. But what a surpries… it is an Argon.

How it behaves:
It does not work. It appears in windows devices as Simucube.

How I would expect it to behave:
I would like some help to restore the Argon firmware and its normal configuration.
If someone can guide me… I would appreciate all the help.

Hi guys,
Yesterday I couldn’t send any more messages.
The story has ended very well. All parameters are ok and the flashing was easy and fast.
Your help, specially Joe’s has been incredible. Amazing people in this forum.
After doing that I couldn’t find the right config for my motor. I went to bed and having a look to the Augury site, I remembered that my motor was 5000 ppr so I got up again and I put the right number in the MMos setup.
I followed the guide instructions and… voila. Working like charm.
I just want to tell you how much I appreciate your effort, help, and kindness.
For sure I’ll be here very often and learn from you.

Hi guys sorry to bring this post back to top, but i been searching and cant find how to downgrade from simucube back to original firm in my argon Augury… could anyone give me a hand? sorry again to revive this old post, hope not to bother anyone

Did you run MMOS ForceFeedback software on PC side or was this earlier custom Reimer thing?

hey man, tks for ur reply, yes… my wheel worked just fine on mmos, but tried to update the firm and now got bricked… it appears as a simucube device but nothing i can do to make it work…

Yeah there is a big warning in the Simucube firmware installation instructions page that says it will only work on a Simucube board.

You need to download the Mmos hex file somewhere and install that to the Discovery board.

Got it, thanks for the help… Any idea where to find the original firm? I just need to flash It back into the Discovery board directlu connected to my pc right?

Unfortunately I don’t have any idea, and it does appear I don’t have the MMOS files anywhere anymore.

And yes, I think flashing that to Discovery is going to utilize the other USB port on Discovery somehow. I never used Discovery board myself, it was before my time in this business…

Maybe @Joe can step in again?
