[SOLVED] SC2 Sport not centering and spinning on startup

I posted about this a few weeks ago but the problem seemed to have solved itself the next day but it unfortunately came back in the middle of N24. Basically the wheel cannot find it’s center and is always stuck on full lock after spinning a bunch when I power the base up. I uploaded a short clip just to show. I tried re-installing and most options in the software that I found could change something but no results.

Let me try that again. Have you tried with the provided USB cable and is it plugged directly into your PC (not a USB hub)?

Does it also do this if you create a new profile and set that as default profile?

Looks like too much saved profiles or a buggy one with a wrong saved centering point

EDIT:
Change your starting routine:
1-Software closed
2-Power ON SC2
3-Wait for Windows connection sound and then wait for SC2 power ON beeps
4-Start True Drive

I tried with the USB provided directly plugged in my PC, no hub. I originally changed it because I thought it was causing the issue. I set the Read-only safe profile as default and did the starting routine suggested by Alfye20, still the same issue. I only ever saved one extra profile for iracing, creating a new one and setting it as default also doesn’t help.

Very strange issue. Something we haven’t seen before.

What if you hit e-stop right away before the wheel spins? Does the wheel track there at all or does it go to +/- full lock right away?

It doesn’t track at all with the e-stop engaged, then spins and tracks full lock as soon as I release it.

Edit:
I got it to track properly whenever I power it up with the e-stop engaged and reset the center, but it spins to full lock again when I release it.

Mika told me to do an encoder recalibration and it solved it. Thanks for the help guys
