No news about this, we haven’t been able to reproduce the issue, while it seems to be happening for some. For the next official firmware, there will be some attempt to reduce skipped shifts.
I had the problem after leaving my wheelbase on for several hours and the wheel went to sleep. After I woke both back up, the shifts were delayed and some were skipped.
After restarting the base it worked again.
The next release will include an optional double shift mitigation. It will experimentally add some longer debounce time to the paddle shifter buttons via wheel base side software.
Strange. We’ve never seen that happening. We did a code analysis about a year ago to see if there was something going on, but couldn’t find any buffer or delay or wireless connection mode that could cause delayed inputs to PC. Strange.
This has only happened twice since I got my SC2 Pro. And if I remember correctly, it only happened when I had my base on for several hours and sleep mode was activated.
After waking up the base the problem appeared.
I was part of the original thread. I had the issue with both Ascher wireless wheel using SC2 Pro wireless and a Precision Engineering wireless wheel using its own wireless usb dongle. I was never able to lock down the issue.
I’m having some issues with my F-Pro and it feels connected to this thread.
When I’m racing/driving the car is automatically shifting up with no input through the f-pro, it happens intermittently and very randomly. What I’m finding that if I change down, like at the bus stop at Daytona the car will randomly change up, or if I’m accelerating the car will randomly UpShift.
Has anyone experienced this?
I’ve 100% double checked I’m not accidentally touching the gear paddle, and it’s still happening!
I feel like it’s a wheel issue as something is triggering the upshift, but not sure why. It’s only started happening the last week and it’s ruining the racing.
I have a video demonstrating what is happening but cannot upload it
Yep, this is a generic BT wheel so the issue might be in the windows BT stack, BT chip drivers on PC, or in the wheel itself.
Also Cube Controls at least used to use (but not sure if its the case for F-Pro) some hall effect sensors for shifters, and those could need adjustment.
