Simucube Error ID1: 485001 ID2:0

Hi,

As of today, my Simucube no longer does what it should.

Wanted to drive and the steering wheel started to shake.

I then wanted to reinitialize the steering wheel in the simucube configuration tool. after that nothing worked

When I click on the initialization I get the error message that the motor has not changed for 30s. He doesn’t do anything either. However, when I turn the steering wheel, I have a lot of resistance.

I’ve already tried reloading the drc file but that didn’t work. the error keeps coming back.

Would be glad if someone could help me.

Warm greetings

Michel

what happens if you restart drive in Granity and then also enable the drive from the first tab afterwards? Do you get any faults?

I would try to lower the Maximum Continuous Current MCC parameter. You have it at 11 A, Try with 9.0 A.

Hey Mika,

Thank you for your quick response. I set the MCC to 9A after restarting the device, no change. If I now delete the error codes, then I have ID1 0, ID 2 0 and the init error is still there. If I now go back to the Simucube Configtool, I get error message 458001 again and the motor is not initialized. It almost seems to me as if the motor has power all the time and is being held tight.

If I restart the device in the Grani, then the error message appears:

“Some Recently changed parameters or faults require drive restart (Permanent stop State is on). If this repeats, check parameters and device status page.”

Hey does anyone have any other ideas? I now have a software downgrade to an older Simucubever. tried same result.

Don’t know at the moment.

What else can I check on the hardware? Maybe it’s because?

I would check possible causes for EMI. But I think we have had a similar case previously where the IONI was broken. But I do not remember anymore which exact thing was broken in it.

How can i check EMI? But the Simucube has been standing the way it is now for a good 3 years. The only thing that has changed in the last few months was that I changed the encoder. After that the Simucube ran without any problems. It started from today to tomorrow.

I want to avoid ordering an ION HC for nothing. or is it still possible to buy the ioniprohc? The best thing would be for me to send you the simucube and you can take a look XD

So I personally suspect a hardware defect, I’m just not sure whether it’s a simucube mainboard, ioni or power supply.

I don’t think the motor itself will break.
