Simucube error after house power cutage

Hi all

I have a problem with my simucube/ioni card since this weekend.

Last Sunday I had a power outage while I was in game session. I restarted everything so I could play again.

I found myself with an error in simucube:

simucube wait for faults to clear. Release E-stop ?

the card flashes orange with 3 short and 1 long

I restarted the box several times, I tested it by activating/triggering the emergency stop. I also removed it to see, but I had the same mistake.

Then I went to see in the Granity software :

Not knowing what to do, I reloaded the SimracingBay DRC file for my small Mige engine with a SINCOS encoder and it worked again.

On the other hand, I had this error again last night when I didn’t have a power failure. I restarted the box several times but to no avail. I reloaded the DRC file but it didn’t work right away, I had to restart the box 2 or 3 times before it worked again.

Do you have any idea where my problem might come from? A defect on a board?

Thanks for your help

Does it initialize of you click restart drive in Granity?

I tested by clicking on “restart drive” in Granity but it runs in a loop. The error message comes back and tells me to restart the drive.

Can you try if the fault location ID is visible in Granity after the restart drive?

Also, if you click Clear faults in Granity, does the ! Initialized fault go away?

Ok as soon as the problem happens again I look at the state after restarting in Granity.

Clear fault does not change anything.

Only loading the drc solves the problem.

can you show us the drc ?

Yes it’s drc file from Tomo (simracingbay) :

You have the sdr480 psu? Your previous settings were tweaked a bit. Do you have the latest ioni firmware atm 1.7.9 ?

I have a Meanwell 500W PSU.

I dont know my version of ioni firmware. I installed the latest simucube version a few months ago.

Thanks for your help

So most likely you have 1.7.7 . update to 1.7.9 just to be sure it is not something related to that but when you do don’t check the box that resets your ioni settings. Also press the button to measure resistance and inductance , apply the new values save and disconnect.

Ok, I’ll update it tonight.

it’s done. I’ll see if the problem comes back or not.
