have a brand new Simucube 3 Pro 25Nm that I mounted on my rig, but the base itself has never powered on or activated at all.
The Link Control Box stays stuck on a continuous purple light on the Sleep/Activate button. The direct-drive motor never wakes up — no force feedback
I have tried the following with no success:
• Flipped the white power switch on the Control Box multiple times
• Pressed and held the Sleep/Activate (purple) button for long periods
• Pressed the Torque Off button (and released it)
• Checked and reseated every cable multiple times (power supply, SC-LINK, USB)
• Tried different USB ports on the PC and different wall outlets
• Left it plugged in for extended periods
The unit has zero racing time
Has anyone else run into this continuous purple limbo on a Simucube 3 Pro? Is there a specific activation step or Tuner command I’m missing? Or should I go straight to an RMA/return?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I am running the simucube tuner 3.0
First time powering up it updated the link hub and the base with new firmware. I created a service ticket yesterday. I did receive just one time these two messages around 8 hours apart from each other. That was the only time I was able to get any responce from the firmware about anything. There is a small status LED right at the USB port + a red glowing light bar/ring that runs around the entire perimeter/center of the box. This red bar pulses/glows every time I power the Control Box on or off. It is not one of the three normal states in the docs (no light / solid light / double blink).
I’m using the exact same Link Hub that came with my Active Brake Pedal (which worked fine before). After the first firmware update on the Simucube 3 Pro base, the activation popups appeared once then vanished forever, Tuner is completely unresponsive (buttons/icons do nothing), and the base stays inactive (purple or erratic). Full power cycles + hard USB reseats done. With active pedal only it was under pedal base plate out of my site if visions now it is visible. I still have my active pedal mounted on my other rig have not brought it over to my new one yet.
