I have no idea what it stands for! let me know! Thanks
CLAYREGAZZONI,
fjskmdl is the user name of the post above Mika.
Thanks, that was the solution.
Stop sticking your nose where it doesnāt belong
I have to do what @edhunter has to do, duplicate and edit, itās a very frustrating thing to have to do.
Iād gladly be told Iām being stupid and doing it wrong if thereās a way round this.
Yep, I wrote wrong yesterday, sorry about that.
The duplicate requirement is to make it possible for the original creator of the profile to update it.
If any updates are made by you as not the original creator, then those could be permanently overwritten.
As there is now thousands of users in the Paddock, we are getting useful data on what features we can drop. Maybe this is one of them - making edits more fluent - but then there always are some angry users that could be frustrated when their own changes are lostā¦
a couple of questions since Iām going to swap my Sport for a Pro : what firmware (if any) does a new unit come with? to retrieve my Paddock profiles will I just need to do the login?
You are absolutely right @CLAYREGAZZONI I have 3 different wheels, a 35cm MOMO PROTOTYPO a 35cm GT2i and a 32 or 33cm MOTAMEC D with the NSH RACING SPORT hub, well, the most comfortable to ride is there GT2i due to its design in smooth leather and padding between the hoop and the leather, then the MOTAMEC which is a little harder and the less comfortable is the MOMO, with this one I have to increase the reconstitution filter quite high to feel less the grain of the track and limit steering wheel jolt. To test my FFB settings I go to 2 tracks, Barcelona moto and the Nurburgring endurance, Barcelona for its small bumps in some corners and the Nurburgring for the touchdown which I find has a very grainy mesh/feel especially in the descent of the Dunlop bend and vibrations in this bend, as if the wheel of the car were unscrewedā¦
All this to say that the simucube is awesome, but in assetto corsa 1 there are so many cars that almost every car would need tuning.
Some angry users?
Why wouldnāt anyone get mad if his profile was modified by some random internet dude?
Published profiles should remain read only with only original publisher having ability to check it out and modify.
yeah, that is our thinking as well. Having to duplicate for your own edits is the less bad of the options.
The firmware that gets installed at our factory at the moment, is likely similar to 2020.10 but with additional servo drive firmware that was adjusted to support alternative components in release 2021.9.
Any new device will very likely prompt a firmware update when a new racer gets it.
And yes, just login to the Paddock and your profiles will be there.
Oh but this is great news! I canāt wait to test it
Sorry for my messages with a very approximate English, I have the impression that the deepl translator does not translate all the words or even removes some
Hi,
I see you are talking about profiles and it has emerged me a doubt.
I have created a profile for each sim. This creating profiles is a vice
All my profiles are placed in the āoff lineā tag. I havenāt uploaded them to āonlineā tag yet.
Iād like to keep them in a USB memory or external HDD so my doubt is, is there any type of file that itās created at some folder and i could save it to make a backup?
Greetings.
Thanks for the information. Luckily I speak French. But you really should try to post in English.
Anyway, merci beaucoup pour rƩpondre !
Good idea to use tracks or part of them to get a general feeling. Itās very tricky sometimes. The same car, on the same track, same conditions but a different car setup already has significant input on the FFB at the wheel. I honestly donāt believe there is a "golden profile " because a GT FFB is too different to the one an open wheeler
Offline Profiles are save into Documents/Simucube 2/cachedprofiles directory.
Any backups you make are likely less reliable than the cloud profiles in the Paddock.
Itās strange what you tell me, because I write my texts on deepl, which translates them into English and I copy them for posters on the forum, you should see them in English, isnāt it the case?
That one indeed is in English while the first post was in French. It may happen that you will be crucified here for such a capital crime.
Ok. Understood. Thank you so much Mika
Strange because I see them in English, Iāll be more careful in the future, maybe thatās why I do the automatic translation on the forumā¦
