Simucube 2 sport choppy in Super Formulas iRacing

Hi all!

Does anyone have experience with using different profiles for the Super Formula cars in iRacing? Im almost exclusivley using Daniel Morads Pro profile for GT3 and lighter formula cars but when I jump in the Super formula with the same profile it vibrates alot and gets choppy. So much so that a piece of metal fell out from my rig where the wheelbase is attached (Im 100% it was tightened good).

Would love some suggestions for profiles to use since im not having any luck when browsing the true drive software.

Best regards

It may be that this car is also sensitive to instability in the 360 Hz FFB mode due to the high torque gain in the car physics model combined with the slight delay in the signal.

Does the car also do it when you disable the 360 Hz mode?

Very interesting - I must try that on my setup. I recently started racing the Super Formula and I’ve been noticing odd clunks in the FFB. They’re rare but definitely seem out of place/unrealistic.

I’m a little confused about how being in 360Hz mode might cause FFB oddities though. A slight delay, yes, but it sounds like you’re suggesting the delayed FFB signal is somehow competing with a simultaneous real-time signal? Surely, it would just be a smooth 360Hz with slight lag?

The FFB is a feedback system that is sensitive to lag. Especially as all data the sim gets back is the wheel position. The torque loop will go unstable very easily.
