I’m wondering if anyone else experiences this.
I’ve had a Simucube 2 Pro for almost 6 months now and I love it…when it works perfectly.
I’m finding however, after a few hours of use… all of a sudden it feels like it goes weak with no FFB…or I notice, it does something that I KNOW I didn’t just do. Last night…it just went blank, no FFB and I could spin the wheel round and round and it just kept going straight.
I restarted the PC, went back into the same race I was trying to run in iRacing, and it drove for a bit, and then the screen just froze and I could hear the engine running at a constant RPM until I signed out (thereby closing all applications). Logged in again, tried Assetto Corsa to see if it was maybe just iRacing, after a turn or two…same thing. Turned OFF PC and let it sit, went back into iRacing…again it happened.
I then turned off the PC, unplugged the USB cable, and turned the actual unit off. Restarted the PC, plugged in USB cable, powered unit on, and it worked for at least a full race (it was late and had to go to bed).
I’ve checked everything top to bottom as far as firmware (don’t think there has been a new one for simucube 2 in a long time), drivers, etc.
All I’ve heard is how reliable these things are, but this sucks bad.
Anyone? Bueller?
