Hi,
I have a problem with wheel oscillation at high speeds in iRacing. It happens in many cars.
Additionally, the wheel sometimes oscillates rapidly after bumping the wall and stopping abruptly.
if you have Max Force at 25 Nm in iRacing, then you are clipping the forces on many cars. While this gives strong FFB, the caveat is tendency to oscillate if you let loose of the wheel.
If you have access to tools to get telemetry data, analyze the oscillation and create a notch filter on that frequency. Also increase Damping, Friction and Inertia. Especially Inertia can be useful to prevent oscillation.
I wonder what that Strength 25 means in the real units. Certainly you do not have 25 Nm in iRacing as you said!
Click on the Strength to see the actual clipping point in Nm.
Also, in iRacing, you should always use linear mode on DD wheel bases. Nonlinear mode is good for non-DD gear or belt driven wheels where low forces must be boosted to get any feeling due to motor and gear friction on those systems. On DD wheel bases, this will for sure cause oscillation.
