simucube 2 pro loss of ffb when i start to turn Wheel

i have simucube 2 pro and my problem is when i start to turn i dont feel the girp as i have to feel it. i turn wheel i dont feel girp so i dont know how much i have to turn the wheel or i cant find the lmit of track.

so it makes me slower then normal more then 1 seconds.
-i tryed every famous driver iracing profile
-usp2.0 ports
-change usb ports on mother board
-format pc clean start for everything
notings worked for me.

tis problem can be realted from my mother board or pc setup ?

ryzen 9 5900x am4

i tryyed it acc , iracing both is same undriveable feelings.
when i start to turn wheel ; feeling is like i turn the weel to much and i had to much understeer feeling is like this there is little resistance on wheel but same like there is no ffb. but base has power when i pass on kerbs or something like that base has power. but there is no grip when i try to drive.

example on monza last turn; i am on left side on track i do brake and i am trying to catch the apex wih trail brake but have no grip feeling on wheel , so i dont understand anything i am on lmit or not is there understeer or not turning without feeling and also some how if i catch the apex when i try to open throtle car is not want to turn going outsidein any corner.

So it sounds like you have ffb forces coming through

What you’re experiencing sounds like it’s specific to the sim you’re playing

The best place to troubleshoot ffb for a particular sim will be on the sim’s forums or their discord

I am experiencing a persistent and reproducible issue with my Simucube 2 Pro where the force feedback signal intermittently degrades or becomes incorrect during use.

System Information:

  • Device: Simucube 2 Pro (Hardware Revision 2.1)
  • Firmware Version: 1.4.14
  • Servo Drive Firmware: 10875
  • True Drive version: (latest)
  • PC Platform: AMD B550 (also tested on a separate laptop)
  • Simulation: iRacing

Problem Description:

During driving, the force feedback initially feels correct, but after some time it degrades. When the issue occurs:

  • Steering becomes “dead” or misleading
  • Front tire load is no longer communicated properly
  • The car behaves as if it has understeer, but this is not reflected correctly in the wheel
  • The wheel provides incorrect or incomplete self-aligning torque feedback

Important Observations:

  1. Running encoder calibration via Ctrl+E (Engineering Mode) temporarily restores correct FFB behavior.

  2. After some time (minutes), the issue returns without any setting changes.

  3. The issue is reproducible across sessions.

  4. Logs consistently show:

    • “FFB: Detected loss of FFB API data stream”
  5. The same PC setup works perfectly with a Simagic Alpha U (no FFB loss or degradation).

  6. The issue also appears on a different computer (laptop), which suggests it is not motherboard-specific.


Troubleshooting Performed:

  • Firmware reinstalled (clean flash, multiple times)
  • New profiles created (no old profiles used)
  • Encoder recalibrated multiple times
  • USB ports changed (rear IO, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Type-C)
  • USB cable checked
  • Windows USB power saving disabled
  • Tested on a separate PC
  • True Drive restarted multiple times

None of the above resolved the issue permanently.

  • FFB stream handling instability OR

I can comment that the loss of API data stream is an USB related issue. You may fix that if you revert to 60 Hz FFB mode by setting loadSimucubeAPI=0 in iracing app.ini file.

If the encoder recalibration fixes the issue, then I would like to ask if the wheel center point is also drifting or not?
