these two options must be enabled or disabled? What are they for? Last night I had a USB disconnect about two seconds while I was doing an endurance on iracing (SimuCUBE 0.9.10 and Windows 10 Spring Edition) and I read that this version of windows 10 has some problem with USB.Now I updated SimuCUBE to version 0.10 but I do not understand if I have to enable these two options or leave them disabled to avoid those random disconessions

These options were introduced exactly to get debug data on the disconnections, as we are not sure if they are caused by firmware or the Windows.

The Suspend option: If enabled, SimuCUBE will stop sending USB reports to PC after SUSPEND event is sent on the USB bus. This could cause random disconnection. Disable this, if you are experiencing random disconnections. The support for Suspend was introduced in 0.9.8, and solved “SimuCUBE causes computer hang up on boot” issue.

The Recovery option: If enabled, SimuCUBE will not reset USB stack on the device, if it detects that it has gotten stuck in a busy state. This was introduced in 0.9.8 to solve “SimuCUBE stops responding after reboot” issue.

If you disable both of these and you still get USB disconnections or other events, then probably the Windows settings (selective suspend or power saving on the USB ports) has been changed in the latest Windows 10 updates, or that there are bugs in Windows. If both of these options are disabled, then firmware acts the same as 0.9.7 did, and as 0.9.7 worked in a very stable way, it would point to other causes.

Also, if you get a disconnection or something, please supply the debug log, as there are now additional events related to these in the log.

I looked at the log last night, unfortunately I did not copy it, and there was something that said usb stack etc …

possible events are:
USB stack was reset due to being stuck busy
USB stack was suspended
USB stack was resumed

OK so then it would be the USB Recovery checkbox. Uncheck it and report if it keeps happening.

Unfortunately there is no way for the device to keep accurate track of time, at least for the moment.

USB stack stuck with the value of -1 means that there was a busy usb device detected, but SimuCUBE did not react to it because of the unchecked USB Recovery checkbox. This matches the 0.9.7 firmware behavior. Did you have similar troubles with 0.9.7 too?

No with 0.9.7 no problem, but honestly it had never happened to me with the 0.9.8, I started in a random and really casual, with update to the version 1804 of windows 10

Can you check if you have usb selective suspend enabled in your Windows power settings? Should be set to off. Similarly, check that all usb hubs and devices do not have “allow windows to turn off this device to conserve power” enabled. This setting can be found in device manager.

Yesterday when I was stuck the steering wheel “selective suspension” was enabled, this afternoon I disabled both the selective suspension that “allow windows to turn off this device to conserve power” on usb devices

Hi Mika, sorry but I saw the post now. I tried with Windows 7 and I had no problem, I installed windows 10 1709 and not even any problem, now I installed the 1803 and see what happens, as soon as I can do a long session, I inform you of the result
