Of course now I had to try the hack too. It worked! You have to extend the mapping-config by an entrie for the ffb and then you start the gimx adapter with a patched software.
Oscillation significantly better, but slightly different ffb in the center.
With the drive hub, however, it feels a bit cleaner.
