Sc2 firmware update and screen flashing

Evening
Been using sc2 for over 2 years without issue’s
Have had a break from iracing, i updated truedrive and was told unit sc2 needed firmware update, not a problem in the past but this time it wouldn’t work on my pc that i ise for sim racing had to update the firmware via my old laptop. Tried different usb ports on main pc with no success before using old laptop
The other issue is when i open true drive the whole monitor screen flickers black never used to do this. So soon as i minimise truedrive the issue goes away, makes it really difficult to alter setting on truedrive

Which graphics card do you have?

Is the screen flashing also if the Simucube 2 is powered off?

Have a nvida 3080ti graphics card running the current drivers
Screen still flashes with sc2 turned off

Looks like screen flickering could be related to GSync, it activates on my side even when turned On only on fullscreen

I think it could active since the Paddock web browser requires OpenGL and that is hardware accelerated. But it shouldn’t anything dissimilar to a web browser on your PC.
