rFactor 2 Simucube 2 Pro: No Feel for Curbs/Vibrations

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for some help with an issue I’m having on rFactor 2 using my Simucube 2 Pro base.

My general Force Feedback (FFB) works fine; I can feel the resistance in the wheel during turns, and the overall strength is there. However, I have a complete lack of feeling for the small details, especially for curbs and other small track irregularities. The vibrations or jolts that should be transmitted from these surfaces are almost nonexistent.

Does anyone know what might be causing this problem? If you’ve experienced this before or could share your settings to help me get these sensations back, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Are you using proven profiles, or are you starting from scratch? Using TrueDrive or Tuner?

Generally speaking, FFB in rF2 has to be toned down–especially the high-frequency stuff–by increasing inertia, friction and damping. If you’re not getting any detail with low inertia and friction and with a high bandwidth limit, then there’s a good chance that you’re suffering from a bug.

I had a similar issue with rF2 and LMU when I switched from TrueDrive to Tuner. Mika insists that Tuner shouldn’t affect FFB, but in my case it did.
