Not sure there is an ulterior motive, but it does seem a slightly odd solution to the problem.
Few quality base profiles in the software & then download to the computer profiles that appear - we do this with setups easily enough, could be more simple - log in & it download to the appropriate folder. Then they appear on the menu in the software - not sure why it has to be totally cloud based - this seems unnecessarily complicated & restrictive.

I find these arguments very ⌠far removed from reality. As has been said, I think 99% of us have mods on our PCs or overlocked components.
Youâre talking about the time it takes to copy the settings from a screenshot. Personally, I donât create a new profile every day. So if I have to take 2 minutes to copy settings when a new simulation or True Drive update comes out, I should survive. Especially if your new feature is a gas powered machine (internet connection almost mandatory and still no answer about a future payment).
We understand that youâve already done a lot of work on this, but I donât know of any brand that stubbornly stands up to 95% of its customers.
I repeat but a part of your site dedicated to a mini-RaceDepartment for SC2 profiles (screenshot or .ini file) with dedicated tutorial would satisfy 99% of users against 25% of the users of this forum by your proposal.
I find that you are complicating yourself a lot for something that could be very easy to set up without being a gas factory âŚ
But if you want to be stubborn, go ahead, weâll see the result âŚ
By the way, we still have the same question, will it become a mandatory and paying tool for the future? If so, donât bother to make SC2 again, they wonât sell.
I closed the thread. There is no point of many people posting the same arguments all over again, as it leads us to answer the same questions over and over again, taking away precious development resources.
We have already said several times that we are considering adding an offline fallback option, and that there are not plans for any payment plans, but still people ask about them.
Lets get back to this when we have the working system released, and users can give constructive feedback on it.
