Loss of FFB sometimes exiting garage or starting a race since 11.2 update

Ello wasnt having any issues before but since i did the last update i have random loss of FFB when leaving the garage in rf2 and on the odd occasion going to the race. ITs not all the time but maybe 1 in 7 times coming out of the pits. This has only happened since the 11.2 update.

Anyone else experienced this issue?

Also is it a simple thing to install the previous update to see if the problem has gone away?
Another question in rf2 is it safe to do FFB reset in the sim with a DD wheel? ive never tried it or had to before.

If you can supply any debug log from the Advanced tab, that would help a lot.

Also, is it just loss of ffb or a controller disconnect?

I’ve had this in rF2 on many occasions, with various different versions of SimuCUBE.

I think it is a known rF2 issue, not OSW specific. I have a button mapped which re-sets the rF2 FFB when this happens, which I must have found out about online somewhere, although I cannot recall where.

i update each time new version released here is the event log from last session i ran i believe it did once while i was on the server so hopefully there is something here you can see. Also i think its more like the force is turned down to nothing but i can still feels bumps on grass etc just no tension.
I also think there was a few occasions in the past with an older version but been ok for a long time till this version for me. Please see below

when you do the FFB reset in rf2 with DD does the wheel do anything like spin as i havnt tried yet cause of cables to the wheel

Interesting issue. Nothing in the FFB effects generation nor in the management has been changed recently. Only change in 0.11.2 was to have a minimal update rate for the USB reports to the PC.

thanks for reporting this. I have tested rFactor2 quite often, but I’m not a fan of it so I have only done short tests. However, we have some nice regular testers on the board that have reported testing it, before I have released public versions that have changes in FFB side of the code.

@VR_Racer It would help, if you first set log verbosity to “FFB Effect creation, deletion and activation” and tried to then download the log right after it has happened.

For what its worth i only race rf2 regular and test most nights of the week plus the usal qually and 90 minute race in F1 so im constantly using rf2 in the f1 season

rFactor 2 is my main sim and I never had this problem from MMOS days to all the versions of Simucube firmware I have tried.
Is the track that the problem occurs official or mod? and what car?

not sure if track official were racing every track of F1 season and last one was interlagos brazil, im not sure which are official or modded but i plan on running some offical mclaren f1 cars on silverstone which im pretty sure is official.
I dont think any f1 mod is official in rf2 accept for the 60’s cars and the recent mclaren stuff released, so for the mod would be a no. I really pushed in rf2 this season to try and win the championship so AC and iRacing havnt been used for quite a while so i cant compare them yet.
Good news is i did win my championship

Ran official McLaren mod last night a d had loss of FFB a few times but I’m not sure if Interlagos track is official or not

Assembled and started using Simucube OSW yesterday (21/Nov).
I had this complete loss of FFB (but not steering) happen to me once after a big crash against a wall.
Restart of rF2 didn’t bring back the FFB.
I also tried AMS after closing rF2 but even AMS didn’t work.

I believe I had to reset Simucube from the configurator.
I did not try the reset ffb key in rFactor 2.

Firmware version here is 0.11.0.

Should I wait for 0.11.5?

UPDATE I managed to reproduce it again. It seems to happen whenever I steer my wheel all the way to one direction. Hitting the key for FFB reset in rF2 does nothing. The car is still steering ok, but FFB is zero.
Could it be related to the bump stop effect settings?
