IONI mechanical dimensions and insertion in socket

We will use an horizontal socket to host the IONI, either:

• TE 1761465-3
• Samtec PCIE-098-02-S-D-RA

And I have a mechanical question: to determine the very exact IONI location once into the socket, can we assume the IONI and socket will be in contact at the place shown by the red circle ?

Hi Marc

Yes. Both ends of the IONI rest on the PCIe connector as highlighted with the red circle.

Actually I have two documents showing the IONI outline, both of them from your website and both of them with Revision 22:

• one is asymmetrical with 29.95 mm on the left, hence my unique red circle above (and 29.01 mm on the right)
• one is symmetrical with 29.04 mm

I used the former for my drawing, but I guess the latter is the good one, seeing my IONI PRO.
