If you updated from a very early version, then the maximum motor current value was set as 2.0 A into the IONI drive, and then the drive will not initialize anymore. This was fixed already in a January firmware release.
Steps to recover: use Granity to set the correct maximum motor current, save settings to drive, power off and restart the system. Or reload the DRC file using the motor configuration wizard.
Thanks for the reply…
I managed to get it initialise…
But there is no force feedback at all… No bump stop… wheel just spins around and around…
If i add damper you can feel the wheel get heavier and it make some noise…
but no FFB in any games… I am still running a 5000ppr
Thanks
Did you run the Configure Motor, Encoder and Center point wizard fully at least once?
yes
it’s all working normally… just no FFB…
Damping
Resistance
Inertia
all work too…
it’s weird
I’m using the same settings i was using for MMoS in IONI
Can you post screenshots of the Granity settings?
I appreciate the help Mika!
Interesting. Are you sure that there is not any ffb? Remember that there is no communication between SimuCUBE and IONI while you are in the Granity configuration mode. SimuCUBE must be in Operational state.
don’t know why but it’s working now…
go figure that out
the only thing now is… iRacing has gone from being smooth 144 hz to choppy as hell…
it’s always something!
thanks mika!
