hi all, so this was published yesterday on RD :
any chance to make it work with SC2?
I did try GPL with Simucube 1 two years ago. There was FFB but not very good as the title is 20 years old… but Simucube 2 should work in a similar way.
I still have a Simucube 1 and I don’t have any FFB with the demo. Though I haven’t messed with any files yet.
I also don’t have FFB in GTR2 anymore. It worked temporarily.
The GPL ffb system is pretty rudimentary, wich makes sense giving it’s age… after some fiddling with the core.ini file and tweaking the profile I got (relatively) decent feedback, I could feel weight transfers…
In core.ini I set the ffb as following:
[ Hack ]
steer_ratio= 1 ; Speed sensitive steering ratio below 60 MPH
; Allows sharper turns at low speeds.
; 0 = No 1 = Yes *
[ Joy ]
allow_force_feedback = 1 ; Use FF if device has it 0 = No * 1 = Yes
force_feedback_damping = 40 ; force feedback damping coefficient - Default = 40.0
force_feedback_latency = 0 ; force feedback latency (secs) - Default = 0.085
max_steering_torque = 200 ; steering torque in N*in giving max device force - Default = 225.0
wow kudos to you man, at least someone who tried
