Forza Horizon 6 Force Feedback?!

Hi,

Does anyone know if there might be an update from Granite or perhaps M$ to fix FFB not working on Horizon 6??

Thanks in advance!

We’ve been trying to be in contact with the developers, however it seems that publisher (Microsoft) is making this an Xbox game and the PC version only supports Xbox controllers -which includes Xbox compatible wheels.

We have tried to several times calculate if it makes sense for us to purchase the Xbox license and implement the Xbox compatibility to our devices. Every time it comes up as “not worth it”, as the Xbox license isn’t exactly cheap.

It’s not worth being compatible with the best selling, biggest car racing game on the market!?!?!?!?!
This was pathetic when Forza 5 was released and now you have a chance to support 6 and you don’t!?!?!?!
You guys are out to lunch.

Ah that is a big disappointment. I know its not a traditional sim but it sucks that i’ve locked myself out of games by upgrading and spending more money.

Simucube 3 also not working. Just built a simrig and was really excited to use the premium simucube hardware with FH6. really disappointed it doesn’t work.

Yes, you should contact the game developer to encourage them to add support for generic Directinput game controllers and wheelbases.

Mika, with respect: from what I understand, FH6 is working with almost all other sim racing vendor hardware. This is a problem for Granite Devices to drive towards a solution with Microsoft. We’re not going to get anywhere expecting the userbase to demand this support. This is arguably the biggest driving game release of the year. It needs full Simucube 2 and 3 support.

Thats not the truth when one goes to see their public support tracker.

Simagic, Moza, Logitech, VRS, Cammus, etc… and even Asetek and Fanatec are having issues.

Its working for me with my SC2 Pro and the ForzaEmuwheel hack. I still had it setup for FH5 and all I had to do was create a custom wheel controls config in game and assign axis/buttons etc.

Plenty of info HERE

Turn all assists off and set steering to simulation and its pretty good fun.

Simagic, Moza, Logitech, VRS, Cammus, etc… and even Asetek and Fanatec are having issues.

Those brands may be having issues in isolated issues, but they all reportedly have basic steering and FFB in most cases. Plenty of demonstrations of this on YouTube.

Meanwhile, Simucube has no official support whatsoever, and is currently crashing the game. I expect they’ll fix the crash, but no native FFB is a dealbreaker. I’m aware of the hacks that can add some FFB, but all reports I’ve seen are that it’s a generally terrible experience.

List of officially already supported or have support coming in update wheelbases.

Simucube is nowhere to be seen.
FM8 had nice native support for DirectInput devices with quite admirable FFB in general, was pretty sure FH6 will follow the suit. Didn’t happen.
Simucube mostly target Iskaters, too bad as support for large user base title like FH could help them sell extra few thousands units or more.

I have 4 GT1EVO Rigs and 4 Simucube 2 (sports and pros). I built 4 PCs years ago which are now mediocre specs, 5800x3D, 5600x3D, 32GB DDR4, 3080 and 3080TI. I wanted to have 4 player races.

We need Forza Horizon 6 to work. What is the XBOX License cost if we may inquire? I am heavily invested into Simucube, but when I see Moza adapting with truck wheels/etc. they are clearly innovating much faster than Granite, we need you to innovate faster and get into the MS space. You can dominate there, I think the reason you do not want to get there is Moza and others have DD at half the price or less and you think MS gamers will not pay $1000 for a DD. Let’s be honest please.

Forza Motorsport was made with completely different studio, which Microsoft then laid off. We had some contact with those developers and even supplied development hardware.

None of my contacts in Playground Games have answered to my emails during the last 6 months.

Forza 6 just hit 264,000 CONCURRENT users…

Feels weird to see that the most expensive sim racing brand doesn’t include a most requested feature because in’t cheap!! :man_shrugging:

To support hardware on PC still requires XBox license?
Some listed officially supported devices have only PC support, e.g. Moza, some Logitech models, etc.

They have some kind of agreement with Microsoft as far as I understand.

But, we have gotten some things working, but not in perfect way yet. Most likely there will be a testing release for Simucube 3 soon.

Any chance of a fix for Simucube 2?

Probably if we can determine that the fix does not break FFB in any other games.

I use emuwheel for FH4, 5 and now 6. I get a decent ffb now, just a little vague in the centre.

I’ve read reports from people who could get FH6 FFB, when they made their simucube the first detected usb controller. I don’t know how to do that, it has something to do with just plugging in the simucube as the only usb controller when starting your pc.
