[Fixed] Simucube 2 Pro - Both PSU's suddenly bricked?

Short introduction: was traveling for work for a couple of days. Prior to that received two letters from Electrical company, that maintenance on the main net would occur during those days resulting in a few hours of power offs in the whole neighborhood. Got home wednesday, no internet, no TV → one year old ADSL modem bricked. Got sorted this morning by my ISP, online again

This afternoon, enjoying my day off, finally got time to fire on my rig. started my trusty True Drive 2021.8 app, flipped the power switch on the back of the unit, no welcoming beep beep… wtf? Dug a little deeper, both PSU bricks no LED lights on… WTF?!

Started searching this forum on similar cases, unplugged PSU’s from net. after 10 minutes next attempt still nothing. Searched for a reserve power strip, plugged that into another wall socket, still nothing. Since both PSU’s seems defect I suspect them being bricked due to the Electrical Company hard switching the grid too fast.

Hopefully someone on the Simucube team has a clue on next steps?

[UPDATE]
Switching the plugs back to main power strip and making all systems voltage-free eventually did the trick. Never had this strange issue before, glad it worked out in the end

And again a short grid power down yesterday.

Again the SC2 PSU’s blue leds stayed off. Unplugging everything again (all wheel connections and PSU’s). Unfortunately still no sign of life this time.

Maybe I was just lucky the first time, can’t get it back on…

Hopefully someone on the Simucube team can help me move forward getting things running again.

I would advice to make a support ticket via simucube.com if the power supplies don’t recover after hours of being unplugged from the mains.

Thanks for the reply @Mika !

Another 24 hours off the grid made them come back alive again.

I’m not too familair with electronics, but can the capacitors retain a charge for a relative long time, keeping the PSU in a overvoltage condition or something like that?
