- Remove screws from the motor body, if you used them in the conversion
- Remove cable connector.
- Place cover over the encoder and loosely secure two screws.
- View from the connector side and ensure the connector sits in the middle of the cover outlet.
- If YES, secure remaining screws and tighten, screw cable back onto encoder.
- If NO, remove cover and loosen encoder attachment screws to rotate encoder so subsequent cover placements result in the connector being in the center of the outlet. Once sure of placement, tighten the encoder mounting screws, replace cover and secure, reconnect cable and reinitialize the motor config in Simucube to account for any rotation on the encoder.
