I like to know can I get encoders data by a separate device (microcontroller, etc and send data to computer) and control motor rotation/speed with IONI drivers?
for example read absolute encoders data, send it to computer and control servo motor by IONI Driver in a separate loop
Unfortunately that can’t be done. Some type of position feedback device is required by the internal algorithms on the servo drive.
just to add, that servo motor cannot be controlled without having accurate knowledge of the shaft angle.
