Was able to connect the wheel to the base yesterday, albeit with a bad connection, and now my base is not even recognizing any wireless wheels. Battery shows full charge but still wont recognize even when plugged in via USB. Is it my wheel or could my antenna be faulty?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

GT Pro Wireless does not have USB connection; that is only used for charging the battery on the wheel…

There are quite a few 907 and 909 events. There should be only two occurences of each at device power on, and any additional ones are caused by USB issues between the wheel base and the PC. Next True Drive release will change that to “device id request/re-request” event.

So, I would start by debugging USB things on the PC.

Yes i am aware the usb connection for that wheel is only for charging - i was just trying to clarify that the battery should be good since it was connected to a power source.

I have tried unplugging every USB connection i have on my computer except for the USB connection for the SC2 base and restarting everything. it still will not recognize it. now i get the following debug log - it was recognizing the wheel up until yesterday and after further inspection of the base, it seems that the antenna was loose. i tried removing it and using duster on the area to remove dirt but i don’t think that would be the issue.

Everything else with the base and my other cube controls wheel work great but cant seem to get this wheel to connect anymore.

Any other debugging suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Do you mean the wheel base antenna was loose, or the one on the wheel?

For wheel base antenna, we have instructions on how to correctly tighten the connector.

Again thank you Mika! Might have figured it out but I think I need replacement parts for my base.

Turned everything off and opened the back plate of the base to find the cable that was connected to the antenna was no longer in one piece. Do you know how I would go about requesting a replacement cable for the antenna? The instructions for replacing it seem pretty straightforward but now I just need a cable for connecting the antenna to the board.

I actually found some ufl to sma cables online that look like they will do the trick. Gonna order those and try to replace it to see if wireless works again after that. If that is the wrong cable type, please let me know but it looks like the one inside the base and looks it will connect to PCIe board. I can use instructions you sent earlier and follow up after replacement.

Looks like i have a solution. I replaced the ufl to sma in the base which allowed for recognition of wireless state again, but the wheel would still not connect. So i replaced the wireless antenna cable in the wheel with an output similar to the base and added an antenna to the wheel too. Works better than ever now. i went from 20-40% connectivity to almost consistently 100%.

It is strange that it shows as “unnamed bp”; that would mean that the input configurations haven’t been programmed in to the wheel by manufacturer.

But that doesn’t really matter if all the encoders etc. work as they should.
