Recently I just got a Kollmorgen AKM52G-ANC2EJ00 but it has brakes on that servo motor, So can I just use this motor directly to the simucube controller box? Thanks!
Yes, you can use it, but you need to provide a seperate psu to the brake, as it is engaged with no power, this need a supply to be disengaged.
I have a big AKM here with a brake, it works well, I have also often used it to stress-test my controllers, simply by leaving the brake engaged
