Hello,
I use a wireless Ascher Artura Pro wheel with Simubecube 2 Pro and Active Pedal Ultimate.
Everything is connected through an active USB hub powered by a single power strip. To power off devices I simply turn off the strip. Sometimes devices do not initialize properly (most of the time wireless) and I need to power cycle them or even power cycle the whole PC. Do you have any idea what might cause it? Is it the order of initialization?
Do you use the wheel through Simucube 2 (= True Drive) or are you using the Simucube Link Hub / Simucube Tuner to manage it? Are they fighting for the connection and thus neither can get connected?
Currently, I have it added only in True Drive. Is Simucube Link Hub and Simucube Tuner recommended?
I think you could try to definitively use just either of them and if the other does not work, try the other one. Set the True Drive to not automatically connect to wireless wheels and then use Tuner to add the wheel.
Arguably, the Simucube Link Hub where the receiver is, can be placed in better position in a rig upright for signal strength purposes, as it will not be behind the motor like it is with the wheel base.
After further testing, I realized that it is not just a wireless wheel but the whole base has issues connecting over USB from time to time and I have to disconnect the powered hub from the PC or restart the entire PC.
Maybe try connecting directly to the pc without the use of the hub ?
Definitely try it without the hub. I’ve had the Artura Pro SC wireless wheel for months and never had an issue.
Are switching off power supplies / wheelbase / hub between uses?
