That sounds great, thank you so much for your hard work. Please keep doing it, we users will always be grateful for it!

For the rally simulator like Richard Burns Rally the bump stop is very important because we hit the bump stop often, looks like is almost perfect now, thank you Mika (you are our Angel!), but we have only 3 steps, soft, medium, hard. Is possible to ad 2 more steps? Like soft, medium soft, medium, medium hard, hard for more precise settings? Or just the slider but it will be probably more complicated. One more time… thank you Mika!

For me bumpstop is not that important. But still, I am pleased for every update, that the Simucube1 project gets. Thank you so much Mika for that! Really appreciate that.

Simucube firmware 1.0.40 is released, with a workaround for the Raceroom Racing Experience bug that was found recently.

Thanks Mika…!!! Time to test it…

My Saturday project has advanced a bit. This weekend I reimplemented the sending and applying of IONI DRC file.

That file actually consumes a bit of memory inside the microcontroller. This means that maximum number of profiles on Simucube 1 will be definitively less than 100, probably around 50.

Cool thanks for continuing this on your own time.
That really is AWESOME of you!!

I don’t see why only being able to save 50 profiles would be an issue. I would gladly trade less profiles for more function.

I also now implemented setup of commutation sensors (no phasing on absolute encoder). The API is quite a bit more complex on IONI than it is on our later servo drives (e.g. Simucube 2), so lets see how much debugging will be needed upon testing.

once again… I tip my hat for all you effort for this project.

It looks probable that the firmware will be ready to be tested next weekend on device for the very first time. Wish me luck

Everyone, don’t hold your horses yet, this is a non-guaranteed project that might not ever reach actual working status. I have Suzuka 10h on the weekend, and IVRA Endurance a week after that, so it seems it will be close to December before being able to work on this project next.

Don’t say never, take that word out of your vocabulary

Thank you for pushing the project. The SimuCUBE software are on a good level, but it’s so nice, that it an be better soon.

Even if this project was released, a regular user wouldn’t see nor feel the difference.

That’s an important observation. I am an regualr user and I have not updated yet, because I do not know if I will notice any difference between my current version (SimuCUBE Fw 0.11.2, SimuCUBE Hw Rev2 (r0005) and IONI 10707 / MiGE 130ST-M15015 Biss-C) and the new one Firmware
.

I have absolutely no clue how I missed the updates on this thread… looks like it’s time to find a way to get my Lenze and SC1 in a state ready for testing in time for xmas holidays…
