SC1 board dead - all stock gone?

After 5 yrs (having bought it 2nd hand) PCB does not power up = no green LED. I checked the xpower.com DNR480 power supply, it is outputting 48V into board and displays green light on the PS so PS seems to be good.
Anything else I can check, debating whether to take to electronic PCB repair shop or write it off if I cannot get new board.

Yep, we don’t have any spares anymore.

I would start troubleshooting by removing motor, ioni and encoder to see if the led lights up then.

No LED with motor, ioni & encoder removed + removed BT too just in case.
For purposes of diagnostic by tech, can/should I remove the Ioni? He only wants the box & power supply no wheel for I guess component level and power check of pcb only.

Yeah, you can remove the IONI as well, and check if the led then lights up on the Simucube PCB. This would rule out a short circuit being in the IONI.

I think the most probable cause is broken regulator on the Simucube board. Easy way to check that would be to check the input and output voltage of the regulator with respect to GND.

We have a few of those reported and analyzed here on the forum:

It might be a good idea to remove any solder mask under the regulator IC chip and to add solder there when installing new L7987L regulator on to the board.

PCB is corroded and the USB-HID soldered to under side of board - always wondered as only had 1 mini USB connector, apparently been ripped off or damaged, technician still cleaning up to investigate no power.
