My simracingbay SimuCUBE stopped working today

FFB doesn’t work at all.
It does read the position.

Here is the device state.

Does anyone know what has happened?

Your E-Stop has gone open-circuit (broken) or is activated. Physical Enable is missing, hence the missing torque at the wheel.

Thanks Beano.

I just pushed the E-stop a few times now and then it worked again!? I’ve tried a few times before but when I tried several times in row it worked.

I opened the E-stop button and everything looks rock solid in there.

So is my E-stop button broken or something in the SimuCUBE!?

You can monitor the STO signal in Granity. Wiggle wires, etc, and see if you can make that change even momentarily.

Yes, I suspect something like a loose connection in the e-stop switch, or where the e-stop wires are connected to the terminal at the back of the simucube. Or the switch might be dodgy, I had seen those in the past too.

Easy to check.

Cheers
Beano

A few years ago the cheap Chinese e-stops that we all used worked flawlessly, but I have seen several fail over the last year.

I can’t reproduce the error.

I’ll just continue using it and come back to this thread if the problem comes back.
